Songbooks
We will produce books of song lyrics from time to time. Each songbook is available in colour, black-and-white or mixed (front page colour) versions, in both Micro$oft Word and PDF (suitable for Adobe Acrobat) formats, for viewing on-line or printing out. I encourage you to use recycled paper, but recognise that many photocopying places do not offer such paper (and I would nevertheless welcome people producing and distributing copies on non-recycled paper). It is better to say that the paper is recycled when it is, but obviously important not to lie! I have therefore produced separate versions suitable for recycled paper and paper from trees.
The following songbooks are currently downloadable:
- Songbook 1, containing the lyrics of Do They Know It’s G8 Time?, The Revolution Starts Now! and L’internationale (3 pages long). It also contains an introduction to Galaxia, including a synopsis of Isaac Asimov’s Foundation series, from which the name of the band is taken. Colour coding is used in that text (except in the black-and-white versions obviously) – socialist red meaning good, Liberal Democrat orange meaning medium, Tory blue meaning evil, and pink meaning scary. The songbook also contains an explanation of L’internationale (why I have altered the lyrics of The Internationale: the international song of the working class).
