Easter was approaching
An anniversary to remember
The one in the spring
Just like the one in December
When Jesus had his last supper
There was one particular person he cared most about
Yes, even Jesus needed a lover
As a Christian, Mary Magdalene was the most devout
Would it help if I walked on water?
Would it prove if I’m God’s son or daughter?
Something’s happening, I don’t know what
Moving in the city giving everything I got
Rocking in the city, rocking round the world
Rocking all now, I’m a rock ’n’ roll girl
Have you heard about the beauty myth?
They had me believing in it
Trying to wear a shoe that doesn’t fit
I know it sounds absurd
But seduction seems such a vacuous word
I don’t usually like dyed hair
But for you, I really care
Wooo, the beauty myth, the beauty myth
The beauty myth, that’s the beauty of it
Beauty is in the eye that beholds
Beauty that canot be bought or sold
I saw you in full bloom each day
What can I do to get you to come my way
I’ve got a crush on you
Do you have a crush on me too?
Oh, I have got such angel eyes
That make my love such a prize
The better you love the better you got
Whether you know it or not
Cookin’ over an open fire
For you I have desire
Two hearts that clash
I enjoyed the splash
And I hope you’ll look back on our time together fondly
Your feelings are all mixed up
But please remember Jesus’ last sup
